‘Setayesh’ actor offers ‘Imam Ali’ corona advice

Star of ifilm series ‘Setayesh’ comments on ways to curb the outbreak of coronavirus in the world.

Star of ifilm series ‘Setayesh’ comments on ways to curb the outbreak of coronavirus in the world, giving advice themed on ‘Imam Ali’ series.

Daryoush Arjmand said to local media that the outbreak of COVID-19 reminds him of a scene in his starrer ‘Imam Ali’ series when the first Shia Imam’s foe Amr ibn al-As later said one heart is enough to kill his most famous commander appointed as Egypt’s governor, Malik al-Ashtar.

He added the foe finally found just one person there opposing Malik and that man poisoned and killed Imam Ali’s commander.

The actor compared that man to the killer virus we are now facing, advising all to remain on alert as the space you have disinfected can easily become contaminated if a spreader is around.

Arjmand has a Bachelor’s degree in History and Sociology from the University of Mashhad in Iran, and a Master’s degree in Theater and Cinema, which he earned in Paris, France.

For his performance in Naser Taqvaee’s ‘Capitan Khorshid’ in 1986, he received a Crystal Simorgh from the Fajr International Film Festival.

Arjmand has performed in many movies, including ‘Snow Man’ (1994), ‘The Visitor of Rey’ (2000), ‘Marriage, Iranian Style’ (2004), ‘Rules of the Game’ (2006), ‘The Boss’ (2006), ‘Hot Chocolate’ (2009), ‘Maritime Silk Road’  (2010), ‘Report of a Ceremony’ (2010), ‘Without Permission’ (2010), ‘Dissertation’ (2011), ‘Here is another City’ (2011) and ‘Attachment’ (2013).
